Hi, I’m Filipa!
I’ve been a photographer for about 13 years — a journey that began in the darkroom of the Fine Arts College in Lisbon, where I first fell in love with photography while developing my own film almost 17 years ago. Shortly after, I worked as a photojournalist for one of Portugal’s leading newspapers, before dedicating myself fully to wedding and elopement photography.
My work is rooted in a deep love for storytelling — blending a documentary eye with an editorial sensibility. I strive to create images that feel timeless, elegant, and emotionally honest: fleeting glances, spontaneous laughter, delicate details, and composed portraits that carry the feeling of the day. I believe in photographing with intention — crafting a visual narrative that is both artistic and personal.
Beyond beautiful photographs, I am deeply committed to offering a seamless and luxurious experience to my clients — thoughtful, calm, and entirely focused on making you feel supported and truly seen throughout the entire process.
I'm a luxury wedding and elopement photographer based on São Miguel Island in the Azores, and work between the archipelago, Lisbon and mainland Portugal, always excited to travel to Europe or wherever your story takes you.
My work has been featured in Photo VOGUE and recognized internationally — I was a finalist for New Talent Europe at the BODAF Awards in both 2023 and 2025.
